Terms of Service

KnobSnob turns music-gear manuals into AI-generated, plain-English guides and answers questions about your gear. It is an informational tool to help you understand your equipment.

You’re responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You must be at least 13 years old to use KnobSnob.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Upload or submit content you don’t have the right to share.
• Resell or redistribute the service or its content without our permission.

You keep ownership of the content you submit — the gear you add, links, files, and messages. By submitting it, you grant us permission to store and process it as needed to operate the service and provide it to you. You represent that you have the right to submit any manual or material you upload.

Guides and chat answers are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are for general information only. Always defer to the official manufacturer’s manual and manufacturer guidance, especially for anything related to safety, warranty, or correct operation of your equipment. You use AI-generated content at your own risk.

KnobSnob is an independent service and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any equipment manufacturer. Product names, brands, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the gear a guide describes.

KnobSnob offers a free plan and a paid (Pro) plan; the current features and limits are shown on our pricing page and in your account. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel anytime from your account, and you’ll keep Pro access through the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If we change our prices, we’ll give you notice before the change applies to you.

The KnobSnob name, app, and design are owned by us. These Terms don’t grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding beyond using the service as intended.

KnobSnob relies on third-party providers (including Supabase, Google, Anthropic, Stripe, and Vercel) and may link to third-party sites. We’re not responsible for the content or practices of those services, which are governed by their own terms.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KnobSnob will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50.

You can stop using KnobSnob and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in California.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of KnobSnob after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
