Knobs

RATE

Controls how often the random pitch wobbles happen — from rare and occasional to jittery and nervous. It's a wide range, but because the movement is random it never becomes a steady, predictable pulse.

tip: At high RATE combined with high DAMP, the quick changes can't get through the sluggish filter, so you'll actually hear less modulation — this is normal. RATE and DAMP interact strongly; experiment to tame them together.

Sets the overall range of time intervals between the random voltage steps produced by the pseudo-random generator that modulates the delay time.

DAMP

Controls how smooth or sudden the pitch changes feel. Turned down, the wobbles are quick and abrupt, almost jumpy. Turned up, they stretch out and soften into slow drifts. At the highest settings the movement gets so slow you stop hearing it as pitch modulation.

tip: At very high DAMP, blend in some dry signal with MIX — then the slow delay-time drift is heard as a lovely, gentle chorus instead of vibrato.

Adjusts the slope of the modulating signal — how gradually each random voltage step reaches its new value via the integrator.

DEPTH

How strong the pitch wobble is overall. The whole range is deliberately focused on subtle variations rather than extreme warble.

tip: Less is more here — this pedal shines with restraint. Remember DEPTH interacts with both RATE and DAMP, so tweaking one affects how the others feel.

Sets the intensity (amount) of the modulation applied to the delay time.

LPG

Controls how bright the effect is and how it responds to your playing dynamics. Low settings make the sound darker, cut off quiet notes, and reduce sustain (a choked, gated feel). High settings make it brighter, more sustained, and may reveal some of the bucket brigade chip's natural noise.

tip: Think of it as a touch-sensitive tone/response control — lower it for a gated, lo-fi choke effect that reacts to how hard you pick; raise it for openness and sustain.

Sets the amount of envelope signal sent to the recovery filter (voltage-controlled low pass filter) and gate circuit.

MIX

Fully clockwise (full wet) gives pure vibrato — just the pitch-shifting effect with no clean signal. Turning it counter-clockwise blends in your dry signal, which creates classic chorus-type sounds.

tip: Full wet is essential when setting up the internal LPG adjust trimpot. For everyday chorus shimmer, back it off from full wet to taste.

Balances the dry (unaffected) signal against the wet (delayed/modulated) signal.

VOLUME

How loud the pedal is. Unity (same volume engaged as bypassed) is around noon, and there's plenty of extra output on tap above that if you want a boost.

tip: Set to noon to match your bypassed level; push higher to use the pedal as a slight volume lift into your amp.

Controls the output level of the pedal.

Footswitches

Footswitch

Turns the effect on and off. When off, your signal passes through completely unchanged, with no tone loss.

Knobs

LPG adjust trimpot

A tiny internal screw that tunes the resting brightness and how easily the pedal 'opens up' when you play. Lowering it makes the filter more aggressive/darker at rest, raising the threshold so it takes more playing energy to open.

tip: Set MIX full wet, LPG at minimum, DEPTH at minimum, then listen and turn the trimpot in tiny increments — clockwise to raise the frequency, counter-clockwise to lower. It's extremely sensitive, so move it barely at all, and momentarily turn up LPG after each tweak to check how it responds to your playing.

A very sensitive internal trimpot that sets the lowest frequency of the recovery (low pass) filter, fine-tuning how it responds to incoming signal and effectively setting the sensitivity threshold.

Switches & toggles

BOOST jumper

Sets whether the pedal expects a weak signal or a strong one. Leave it on for guitar. If you're getting unwanted distortion at the input, flip it off to tame the gain by 6 dB.

tip: Default (BOOST on, PAD off) is ideal for high-impedance, low-output sources like single-coil guitar pickups.

Internal jumper that adds input gain. On by default; switching it off reduces overall gain by 6 dB.

PAD jumper

Turn this on when feeding the pedal a strong line-level source (like a synth, mixer, or interface) so the input isn't overloaded.

tip: Off by default. Combine BOOST-off and PAD-on for the cleanest handling of hot line-level signals.

Internal jumper that, when on, reduces input gain by 6 dB and lowers the input impedance by a factor of 10.

IN jack

Where you plug your instrument in.

tip: The high 1MΩ impedance is guitar-friendly; if you feed it a line-level source you may want to engage the internal PAD jumper.

9 VDC input

Where the power adapter plugs in. Use a standard pedal power supply — there's no battery inside.

tip: Always verify voltage and polarity before plugging in; the protection circuit helps, but check first to be safe.

2.1mm center-negative DC power connector; accepts 9 to 9.6 VDC regulated, draws up to 40 mA. Protected against reversed polarity and overvoltage.
